  2. What is it? • An alternative program option at Tracy High School. • A program that helps students explore undecided college majors and career options. • A program that strives to help students reach their educational goals. • It is a school within a school.

  3. Who is it for? • Students interested in science or agriculture. • Students who enjoy a challenge . • Students who are looking for something different.

  4. What We Offer • Freshman Year: • An instant community of familiar faces • A core curriculum with preparation for the CP and IB pathways. • a dedicated staff • Beginning of Professional Portfolio • Calaveras Big Trees Field Trip

  5. What We Offer • Sophomore Year: • The continuation of core curriculum with preparation for the CP and IB pathways. • Monterey Field Trip • Saturday Seminars • Building of Professional Portfolio • a dedicated staff.

  6. What We Offer • Junior Year: • Continuation of Core curriculum in Social Science and English • Students may branch off into IB classes • Job Shadowing • Building of Professional Portfolio • Zero Period Senior Project Launch • Alcatraz field Trip

  7. What We Offer • Senior Year: • Culmination of Core Curriculum • Senior Project Portfolio • Senior Project Presentations • Federal Reserve Field Trip • Award Ceremony

  8. So what? • In addition to meeting graduation and UC/CSU requirements students receive: • A Bronze Medallion, a Certificate of Completion • And students will have • a professional portfolio which will highlight their accomplishments and skill which will be handy for college and job applications.

  9. If that’s not enough…. • Academy Students are a part of something unique, and will have a support network of teachers and peers to help them succeed.

It’s like a big loving family except you have teachers.
