JUDICIAL BRANCH

The Oregon Judicial Department aims to improve the efficiency of debt collection and public safety through the adoption of best practices. Key areas of focus include the collection of judicial debt related to felonies, misdemeanors, and civil matters, as well as protective orders and family law. Innovations such as centralized debt management, integration with professional collection firms, and automated systems for debt referral and notifications significantly enhance the collection process. This initiative supports families in crisis and reinforces the state's economic functioning, fostering a more effective judicial system.
