  1. AutoCAD Fall Project Parts of A Shopping Carts Wheel

  2. Shopping Cart WheelTo do this you must first draw the circles for the picture on the right. Then you line up the center lines and draw lines across from the tops and bottoms of the circles. After this is done you follow the given dimensions for the figure on the left to complete the drawings.

  3. Wheel’s FrameTo complete this drawing you have to once again align the pieces side by side. You have to compare the two drawings to find out different dimensions to help find out all dimensions for the two pieces. After you have created most of the figure on the left you must use it two make the figure on the right.

  4. ShaftThis piece is pretty self explanatory. After Drawing the basic rectangles you have to chamfer the two far end sides at the specified numbers

  5. CollarWith this piece first you draw the two circles for the base piece. Then while drawing the laid down version you have to draw the rectangles on the outside and then draw the circles starting at the center to find the hidden lines.

  6. PinAll you have to do here is draw the part with the dimensions you are given and it should almost draw itself.

  7. Using Model Space After completing all the drawings you must place them into view ports. A view port is an individual window in which you can show a selected piece or groups of pieces at a closer view. To do this you have to go into the next layout on the bottom of the page

  8. Creating the View Ports To create the view port you must use the command mview. Then you are asked to select how many you would like. Depending on the amount you need, type in the number (for this project I used 5 separate view ports) If you do them one by one, after hitting enter you will draw how big you would like the window to be.

  9. Getting Objects In the View Ports After the view ports are made you need to put your drawings inside. To do this you must type in pspace to put it into paper space. After doing this then copy and paste in your drawings in their individual windows

  10. Designing Your View Ports After you place your drawings inside the view ports you then have to move them to how you want them to be. To do this you are going to have to go back to model space (model space) Then you can click an individual window and move the objects inside. However, you may not change the drawing in model space for that you would have to change it back to paper space.

  11. How to Scale The View Ports To scale the objects inside of the view ports you have to click the view port (while in model space) and then right click and press scale and type in how much. For this project my objects were scaled at .5
