  2. You’ve got to read this book!! • From the very beginning of this book you will be hooked into reading the next chapter. • Wishbone is smarter than he looks and in this book he is forced to help out the enemy • (a cat!). • Terrible things keep happening to this clubhouse. Is it haunted or is someone tricking them?

  3. Type of Book Genre: Mystery This book is an exciting mystery about a clubhouse that may or may not be haunted. The story starts out with what looks like a face staring from the woodwork. Joe Talbot, Wishbone, and Samantha Kepler are determined to find out what really is happening.

  4. Characters Wishbone: Sweet terrier dog, who hates cats and loves food. Joe Talbot: Wishbone’s owner, winner and president of the cool clubhouse. Always wants to find out the real answer to the mystery. Bobby and Henrietta: New kids in the neighborhood.

  5. Setting Where: The story takes place in Jackson Park in the town of Oakdale. Most of the story takes place in the Clubhouse. When: School is in session so it must be in the fall or spring. In chapter one it mentions that it was late summer weather, so I would guess it was fall.

  6. Favorite Parts Chapter Three: Wishbone saw a kitten in the road and a car headed toward it. He jumped out, grabbed the kitten by the neck and saved it. Chapter Eleven: The gang was hanging out at the clubhouse when it started filling up with water. Joe went to the front door and tugged, but nothing happened. “It won’t open,” Joe cried.
