  2. Key Clubber of the Month!! Julia Hildebrand! Thanks for helping out with the ELL family night at Wiesbrook! You exceeded expectations!

  3. Key Club Pictures!Wednesday Oct 23rd @ 3:25pm • Meet outside the English Department stairs

  4. Childcare • When: Tues. Oct. 15, 22, Thurs. Oct. 10, 24 • Oct. 17th is cancelled! • Where: Johnson Elementary School • Time: 6:00-8:40pm • 3 Spots/day • What: Playing with kids while parents take English classes.

  5. Fall Fest in Warrenville • When:Thursday Oct 24th for decorations 230-6pm (6v) Friday Oct 25th to work fest 530-930pm (14v) • Where:   Warrenville Park District 3s260 Warren Ave • What: Running games, craft room and serving food in the concessions. Please dress for the weather because it is both inside and outside. Feel free to dress up if you would like in costume!

  6. Pumpkin Decorating and S’Mores • When:    Sat. Oct. 26th (8-10 Spots/shift) • (10-11:15am) • (12-1:15pm) • Where:   Seager Park, 1163 Plank Road,  Naperville IL • What: Please dress for the weather. Welcome guests, decorate pumpkins, do crafts, play games with the participants, take pictures of the participants, help with s'mores, set up and clean up after the event is expected of all volunteers. • Who: Naperville Park District

  7. Halloween Happening Naperville • When:    Sun. Oct. 27th (12-5pm) UNLIMITED • Where:   Riverwalk Grand Pavilion, 500 W. Jackson Ave, Naperville • What:     Set up games and run the games while the participants stroll through the different areas.  Please come in costume, that is not scary and is child friendly.  The typical participants are 1-5 year old children.  Refreshments are served to the volunteers after the event. 

  8. Cheaper By the Dozen Play • When: Oct 28, 29, 30. Nov 1, 2, 8, 9 (6-9pm) and Nov 3 and 10 (2-5pm) • Where: Warrenville Community Building, 3s240 Warren Avenue in Warrenville • What: Ushering for the show, keeping kids occupied back stage via coloring, board games, etc. There is a dog in the show.

  10. Whittier Fun Fair (13 Spots) • When: Friday, Oct. 18, (5:15-6:45) FULL and (6:45-8) 13 SPOTS LEFT • Where: Whittier Elementary 218 W. Park Ave. Friday, Oct. 18 5:15-8 • 20 Volunteers Needed per Shift • What: Helping out with games, typical fun fair activities, etc. • SIGN UP INFO IS ONLINE ON OUR WEBSITE OR ON FACEBOOK PAGE

  11. Jet Jog (6 SPOTS) • When: Sat 10/19, 9:30am to noon. 6 SPOTS LEFT • Where: Jefferson field, 130 S. Hazelton Ave., Wheaton, IL • 10 Volunteers Needed • What: Set up, Course Marshalls, Lead kids games (Ex. Bean bag toss, Bozo Buckets), Clean up

  12. Halloween Extravaganza! (5 SPOTS) • When: Friday, October 25, 2013, 6:00pm – 9:00pm 5 SPOTS LEFT • Where: B.R. Ryall YMCA of Northwestern DuPage County (49 DeickeDrive, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137) • 20 Volunteers Needed • What: Face painting, pop corn machines, pumpkin decorating table, games ,monster hand craft, etc. • ALL VOLUNTEERS NEED TO PICK UP AND FILL OUT FORMS!!!

  13. Dick Pond Hot Cocoa 5k and 8 mile Run/Walk (FULL) • When: October 27 • Where: Danada Forest Preserve, Wheaton(Start/Finish: Danada Exercise Track) 4 vols – Pre/post race water handouts -6:30-10 AM 6 vols– Course Marshalls. 6:30-9 AM 8-10 vols – Handout water during race 6- 9 AM3 vols – Finish Line Food 6:30-10 AM WE NEED THE JACKET SIZES OF ALL VOLUNTEERS!!!!!!!

  14. Ghost Stories in the Park in the Dark (2 SPOTS) • When: • Fri. Oct. 11th 6-8:30 pm • Sat. Oct. 12th 5-9:30 pm • Sun. Oct. 13th(2 SPOTS OPEN) 6-8:30 pm • Where: Riverwalk Grand Pavilion, 500 W. Jackson Ave, Naperville IL • Who: 1-2 Volunteers minimum age 15 years and older. Please dress for the weather. • What: Help set up and take down scenery, etc for the show. Help serve cider and cookies after the show.

  15. Stadium Decorations (4 Spots)Balloon Banner (6 spots) • When: THIS FRIDAY ! Oct. 11 • Stadium Decorations: 215-4pm Stay a few minutes after the game to pop balloons • Balloon Banner: 7-start of game Carry banner to field and hold while football players run thru • Where: Meet by the ticket booth

  16. Tickets for Whittier Fun Fair • When: Wed. Oct. 9th right after the meeting • Where: Our commons. • What: Helping the PTA moms do the tickets for the Fun Fair that coming weekend. • Unlimited Spots

  17. Football Game Concessions (2 Spots) • Where: Concession stand • Oct. 11: 4:30 – 6:30 (FULL) or 6:30 – 8:30 (2 Spots)

  18. Halloween Happening (5 SPOTS OPEN) • When: Oct. 18th 4-9pm Where: Wheaton Park District Building (1777 S. Blanchard Rd) • What: Either being a character for the Trick or Treat Trail or helping work games for kids. • NEED COSTUME CHARACTER VOLUNTEERS

Long Term Events • Connection of Friends - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 3-6, and Saturday nights from 6-9 • Power Hour Tutoring - Wednesdays in the Edison LLC from 3:10-4:20pm (2 needed) • WDSRA – Info meetings: 10/1, 11/5, 6:30pm – 8:00pm; WDSRA Office (Boardroom) , 116 N.   20. AAUW Book Drive • 1 Hour/couple of books • That means more than 3! • What You Can Donate: Chapter books, picture books, etc. NOT textbooks, audiobooks, or CD’s. • Due By: Nov. 13th
