Exo 20:7 Brenton Thou shalt not take the name of Yehovahthy Elohim in vain; for Yehovahthy Elohim will not acquit him that takes his name in vain.

The third commandment Exo 3:13-15 ESV Then Moses said to Elohim, "If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, 'The Elohimof your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' what shall I say to them?" (14) Elohimsaid to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And he said, "Say this to the people of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'" (15) Elohimalso said to Moses, "Say this to the people of Israel, 'Yehovah, the Elohimof your fathers, the Elohimof Abraham, the Elohimof Isaac, and the Elohimof Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.

(13) You shall tear down their altars and break their pillars and cut down their Asherim (14) (for you shall worship no other elohim, for Yehovah, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous El), (15) lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and when they whore after their elohimand sacrifice to their elohimand you are invited, you eat of his sacrifice, (16) and you take of their daughters for your sons, and their daughters whore after their elohimand make your sons whore after their elohim.
