They set six National Federation of High School Football records, nine state of Washington career and single records and 10 State Championship game records this season between them. Five of the members received All-State award recognition, including Will Hoppes as State Player of the Year and coach Dan Whitsett as State coach of the Year. Will Hoppes, Troy Redmann, Antonio Ledesma and coach Whitsett were also named to the National Private School Athletic Association All-Region Team, with Hoppes and Whitsett taking player and coach of the year honors. 20. Will’s Football This football was actually used in the championship game in the Tacoma Dome. It is known as “Will’s football” and the actual ball that he used for the better part of his three seasons as the quarterback for the Jaguars football team. This football comes in a special shadow box. In high school football games the ball boy is to have two footballs available for the referees at all times in case of long over-throws or balls out of bounds. We would purposely act like we couldn’t find the other football in these situations to buy time to return this ball to the ref. The ball had to be inflated several times over the last three years from normal wear and tear. Ironically, since the State Championship victory, it has remained inflated! ~Coach Dan Whitsett Thank You, Tri-Cities Prep, and Ray Whitlow
