  2. Chapter 10 • In chapter 10 Mr.Fogg goes to the Bombay police station. He made himself known as a London detective investigating the robbery. Passepartout, however, had no sooner heard his master's orders on leaving the Mongolia than he saw at once that they were to leave Bombay as they had done Suez and Paris, and that the journey would be extended at least as far as Calcutta, and perhaps beyond that place. Then they got on a train to leave Bombay.

  3. Chapter 11 In chapter 11 they are on a train from Bombay to Allahabad, and the train tracks are not complete. They are forced to get off of the train so the went and they bargained a man for an elephant, the man wasn’t very cooperative and was giving them a very hard time. The elephant cost them 2,000 pounds. To finish their 50 mile trip to Allahabad.

  4. Where does this take place? The over all setting is in India but there are many other places within India like Bombay and Berhampur.

  5. Important Things • They are leaving Bombay. • The railroad ends. • Mr. Fogg bargains for an elephant to travel to Allahabad. • They pay 2000 pounds to get the elephant.

  6. Important things in plot • Railroad isn't complete. • The man they are trying to get the elephant from isn't cooperating. • They are 50 miles from Allahabad when they have to get onto the elephant.

  12. Building/ establishment • When the railroad came to an end Mr.Fogg went to a ticket station. There were also some temples.

Unfamiliar words • Annexed: to attach, append, or add, especially to something larger or more important. • Countenance: Appearance, especially the look or expression of he face. • Palanquins: A passenger conveyance, usually for one person, consisting of a covered or box like litter carried by means of poles resting on the shoulders of a man. • Rajah: King or prince • Punctually: not late • Eccentric: odd acting character • Maledictions: a curse
