  5. Attendance & Tardy Policies • “Pattern of Non-Attendance” • Complete policy available on line • Attendance desk – 954- 538-3700 prompt #2, press 1 • No sign out between 1:30 and 2:00 p.m. unless it’s an emergency situation • Avoid lunch time sign-outs

Discipline & Behavior • School Board of Broward County Code of Student Conduct • “Parents and students, in August, the 2013-14 Code of Student Conduct Handbook will be posted on the Broward Schools Web site at http://www.browardschools.com/index.aspunder the Additional Information tab for the Code Goes Green.It will also be posted on the Pembroke Pines Charter School website at hs.pinescharter.net under Info.

  7. No use of personal technology or cell phones permitted during class time. • After-School detentions – Mondays and Wednesdays - 2:10 – 3:10 PM Cafeteria • Saturday School - once a month – 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Uniform Policy • Undershirts – white, black, grey and burgundy ONLY. • Outerwear – jackets, sweatshirts plain or with PPCHS emblem • Shoes – No slippers, sandals, flip-flops or backless shoes • Must have a student ID at all times • No hats, hoods or head coverings • PE/HOPE classes-mandatory PE Uniform

  11. 9th Grade Summer Reading! The initial 9th grade summer reading book “They Stood Alone” has been backordered by the publishing company. English I students may read Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None” English I Honors students “The Book Thief” only have to complete this text. PPCHS Website is updated with this info.

  15. Student Activities • Clubs – complete list with descriptions available on-line • All varsity athletes must have a cumulative 2.0 unweighted GPA and pass a physical exam from your physician. Physical forms must be completed and returned to the coach prior to participation. Physical exam forms are located online at http://hs.pinescharter.net/athletics

Student Drop Off/Pick Up • 3 Locations • Front of Administration Bldg. • (Exits West on Sheridan Street only) • East side of Library/BCC • Can go East on Sheridan St. @ Jaguar Way • Student Parking Lot (Enter at your own risk ) • NO drop off or pick up in front of FIU or in the Bus Loop for safety reasons • No sign out between 1:30 and 2:00 p.m. unless it’s an emergency situation. *Avoid lunch time sign out too.
