THE PROJECT THESIS: • „Ecological sensitivity is mostly, not to say above all, a part of social awareness.” “(…) all environmentalists’ visions (and not only theirs) shall remain childish fantasies unless they are followed by the changes in the awareness of society .   8. Picking up rubbish round the nursery school building (papers, aluminium cans, sweets wrappings, broken glass – children point to the pieces of broken glass, the teacher picks them);

  14. We have started collecting aluminium cans and packages.

  16. Description • The cans are stored in a special container and then collected by a company specializing in aluminium recycling. The children count the cans they bring to school – they keep the record of the number of brought cans. • The coordinator of the projects collects the money for the cans and uses them to buy prizes for persistence and pro-ecological activities but also to buy books on pro-ecological issues. • Last year winner – a girl named Hania brought over 2000 cans.
