  3. Hypothesis • Improving the quality of software development processes would improve profitability • Reduced costs through fewer errors • Increased profits through improved sales • Hr: Companies that attain ISO 9000 certification experience increased profitability

  5. Findings • Initial findings show significant negative returns in North American data. • These findings are not replicated in Japanese data. • Dividing the data based on company size yields conflicting results.
