Intermediate/Middle • 1 to 1 - planned for school year 2015-2016 • iPadsas an instructional enhancement • iPads will serve as a platform for digital textbooks • Textbooks housed on the iPad – access equity • iPads as a learning tool-not a personal gaming device • Gradual process – textbooks, calculators, APPs • Literature sets

  4. Elementary K-4 iPadsas a learning tool to enhance instruction Classes use iPad carts The hope is eventual migration to etextbooks APPs to be vetted

  5. Vetting Materialsand Resources Free APPs and paid APPs will both go through the vetting process to validate their use with the curriculum Keynote, Pages, Numbers already vetted Office 360 – Word, Excel, PowerPoint Other writing , presentation and spreadsheet APPs should be considered

Vetting Materials and Resources Digital Learning Professional Development Evaluation and Fidelity Check –very important for GRANT records Please attach professional development rosters or course completion records along with any pertinent feedback documentation to the professional development forms when you turn them in to your media specialist or upload forms to the MCS website.   8. Role of the Media Specialist DLS Team Member - trainer Vetting Coordinator – assists with submitting completed forms Collaborative Partner Resources Specialist Catalogs iPads and circulates to students (1 to 1) First contact for repairs/service (includes APPs)
