Our Board Members are volunteers who take their valuable time to make our program run successfully. Player / Team Counts Fall 2018 Intramural Program Total: 312 PLAYERS U6 – 12 Teams U8 - 18 Teams U10 – 10 Teams (5 HSC, 3 Conewago, 2 YMCA) U12 – 8 Teams ( 5 HSC, 2 Conewago, 1 YMCA) Fall 2018 Travel Program: 203 Players U9 – 1 Boys, 1 Girls Team U10 - 2 Boys, 1 Girls Team U11 – 1 Boys, 1 Girls Team U12 – 1 Boys, 1 Girls Team U13 – 1 Boys, 1 Girls Team U14 – 1 Boys, 1 Girls Team U15 – 1 Boys Team U16 – 1 Boys Team

Intramural Overview • Season Timeline • Coaches Meeting/Equipment Distribution – August 18th • Practices Start – Week of August 20th • Uniform Distribution – Week of Sept 3rd • Opening Day – Sept 9th – 12pm • Picture Day – Sept 16th • U8 Tournament – Sept 30th • Dillsburg Tournament – NO GAMES – Oct 7th • U10 Tournament – Oct 14th • U12 Tournament – Oct 21st • Last Game of Season – Nov 4th • All-Star Games – Nov 11th (Held at YMCA Field House) • Inclement Weather – Games & Practices • Notifications via club website, Email & Facebook

  9. Parking • Parking- DO NOT PARK IN THE UTZ PARKING LOT! You will be towed. Please share with family and friends who may attend the games. • Overflow Parking is at the Clarks Fields starting for Opening Day and Tournament Dates. No Parking at Clarks outside those dates!

HSC Playground • Playground was funded from a combined effort of the Sheridan Memorial Fund and Hanover Soccer Club. • Playground is for use by club members, visiting travel teams and guests attending HSC Functions • Playground is not for use by General Public and is not to be used outside of HSC Games and Practices. • Playground is for ages 1-12 – ADULT SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED.

Need to Know Information • Snack Shack/ Field Prep Duties 1)Field Prep • Friday Nights – Place Corner Flags & Trash/Field Cleanup • Sunday Field Closure – Trash/Cleanup 2) Snack Shack – Sundays 1 – 4pm. • Referee Information • U6 & U8 Games are Refereed by Team Coaches • U10 & U12 referee's are typically High School Soccer Players. • Please respect them and remember that it’s “only soccer”. • Adults are setting the example, for their/our children, as to what is acceptable behavior

Sideline etiquette: • Avoid ‘coaching’ from the sideline while watching your child’s game • Do not criticize the referee • Focus on the benefits of the game rather than the score • Think when interacting with opposing fans • Don’t stress out over the game • Save issues with the coach for the next day

Club Trainer • Purpose: • Improve the level of instruction provided by Hanover Soccer Club starting with our youngest age groups. • Build the foundation to engage kids in the game through proven techniques, drills, games. • To assist Coaches in educating players on the game of soccer through training sessions. Coaches can replicate the training in subsequent practices. Seaonal Goal: 100% of Intramural players to be trained by our club trainer. 50% of Travel Teams to have training from our club trainer.

Club Trainer Jamie Sneddon Education: BSC Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Abertay Dundee Coaching Background: - Community coach at Scottish professional soccer team Dundee United. - Community coach at Leisure and Culture Dundee. - Heston Rovers Soccer Club U15’s head coach. - ‘Let’s Get Sporty’ camp coach. - Scottish Football Association Level 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 early touches accredited coach. Playing Background: - Starting defender for the University of Abertay Dundee in the British Universities Scottish Division 1. - Represented South West Scotland Region in the Scottish Regional Championships. - I have played soccer throughout my childhood and up to the present with local youth, school and amateur teams. Hometown: Dumfries, Scotland

  15. TRAVEL SOCCER INFORMATION Our Travel Program is designed to be a bridge from recreational soccer to middle/high school soccer & premier level clubs.

  16. Little Kickers Soccer • This program was created for 3-4 year olds who are interested in being introduced to the game of soccer. • Shin guards and cleats are not required, however, sneakers must be worn! • The program is on Wednesday nights and will be 45 minutes long. We ask that a parent stays with their child so they can help them move from station to station. • Each child will receive a soccer ball and HSC Little Kickers t-shirt. • Practice Schedule: • 6:00 PM – 6:45 PM • Wednesday Evenings • Sept 19th – Oct 24th
