  2. OPENOFFICE.ORG WRITER - I • Word Processor is a software program capable of creating, storing and printing documents. It processes textual matter and organises documents.  • OpenOffice.org Writer is a powerful tool for creating professional documents, reports, newsletters and brochures. The document window contains major components such as Title bar, Menu bar etc.  • By default, the new document will be saved as a OOo Writer document with an extension .odt (ODF Text Document). To close a document select Close from File drop down menu and the document file will be closed. • To exit from Writer, choose Exit from File drop down menu. The Open Office writer document covvers the Undo command and the basic editing functions of selecting, moving and deleting text.
