  1. How Finding the Strength Within Helped Me Recover from Cancer Taking Care of Yourself After Cancer Treatment Cancer treatment can pull you back from your daily routine. But, it is solely upon you how you cope with this condition and work upon yourself. Most cancer patients complain that they aren’t able to take the normal activities they used to. This is also because of a mindset besides therapies. Medications used in cancer treatment cause damage to the body to a greater extent. However, the fact that they save an individual from a life-threatening condition can’t be denied. Therefore, it becomes important to address the loss incurred and get back to the routine with a few steps from within. No doubt, finding strength within is not an easy task. But, little involvement and activities can help in managing it all. In this article, you will learn about ways to cope with cancer treatment and trauma. Getting involved This is the best way to nurture your health and mood. By the phrase “getting involved”, we mean that you can take your stand once again in planning family functions, friends’ reunions, parties, and other activities that you enjoy doing. Furthermore, know that your involvement is impactful and necessary. Also, look after your health closely. Plan out with your caretaker, family, and healthcare team, about how you can manage and minimize the cancer symptoms at home. Sharing and helping

  2. Once you have decided to become an activist rather than a victim of the disease, you open doors for many others who are still suffering. Firstly, it should be your will to accept your condition as a “matter of fact” so that no other person could feel pity for your state or let you feel vulnerable. Moreover, you can talk to other cancer patients and help them if possible. You can share your story on social media platforms and let people know the ways of recovering with mindfulness. Managing symptoms Cancer symptoms last very long, in general. Managing your symptoms can become frustrating at times if a proper plan of the same has not been prepared. Thus, you must work on it with your healthcare team and caretaker. Firstly, watch your cancer signs and report them to your doctor. Ask your healthcare team about home remedies for treating mild symptoms. Improve your lifestyle as per your health requirement. Keep over-the-counter medications that last for 5 days at least. Journaling and others Journaling is the safest escape from all the problems. Start penning down your thoughts and see what magic it does to you. OR, choose other activities that soothe you. The following are some activities you must consider.  Exercises  Meditation  Knitting  Gardening  Playing board or card games  Reading books  Yoga  Listening music  Painting Further, make sure to contact your healthcare provider before taking up any vigorous activity since it may harm your health.
