  1. Can Using Essential Oils Help Treat Cancer and Its Side Effects? Are Essential Oils Effective in Treating Cancer? Essential oils are super concentrated (liquid) forms of compounds that are extracted from plants. One can even inhale essential oils by using a diffuser or massage on the skin after combining it with other oils. Mostly, essential oils are obtained through distillation or mechanical methods like cold pressing. Once the aromatic chemicals are successfully drawn out, they are mixed with a certain carrier oil to make the substance ready for use. Essential Oils and Cancer Cancer is a severe disease in which cells in a part of the body start growing uncontrollably. Such a condition is generally characterized by a set of symptoms. Besides that, patients receiving cancer medicines also experience side effects due to high doses and greater toxicity. Essential oils, then, come to action. They are used to treat stress, anxiety, nausea, aches, and vomiting. Such addition of essential oils to the treatment phase of a patient is often referred to as aromatherapy. For most patients, cancer treatment is a hard row to hoe. But, complementary treatments like aromatherapy among others can make it a bit easy to handle.
