  1. A Triumphant Announcement Building God’s Church for 125 Years!

  2. 1Corinthians 3:9-11 For we are God’s servants, working together; you are God’s field, God’s building. According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building on it.

  3. 1 Corinthians 3:9-11 Each builder must choose with care how to build on it. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one that has been laid; that foundation is Jesus Christ.

  4. God’s Servants • Servants can be Translated as – Co-Workers, Laborers, or Ministers • “Working Together” – Not only with Each Other, but also with God • Who are God’s Servants? Paul & Apollos

  5. God’s Field • Paul – The One Who Planted • Apollos – The One Who Waters • God – The One Who Gives Growth • Symbolic of God’s People

  6. God’s Building • Symbolic of God’s Temple • Paul like a Skilled Master Builder Laid the Foundation by Preaching Christ & His Crucifixion (2:2) • Jesus is this Foundation • Brick by Brick Someone Else is Building on It.

  7. The Foundation "Didn't you ever read this in the Scriptures? 'The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. This is the LORD's doing, and it is wonderful to see.‘” - Jesus

  8. Our Forefathers are Someone Else In the meantime, let all those who are real members of the Church see that they walk holy and unblameable in all things. “Ye are the light of the world!” ~ John Wesley "Whither am I going? To the New World. What to do? To gain honor? No, if I know my own heart. To get money? No: I am going to live to God, and to bring others so to do.” ~ Francis Asbury

  9. Our Church’s Mothers are Someone Else “On Mother’s Day, May, 1917, the congregation held the first worship service in the new church . . . This was truly a day of jubilee.” ~ Mrs. Stringer “Sunday was the most grand and glorious day of the celebration.” ~ J.W. (Margaret) Cherry A Reflection Upon the Centennial Celebration

  10. You are Someone Else! What kind of brick do you want to lay in the continued formation of God’s church? In the continued formation of this Local Church?
