  1. Melissa EricksenWeb Portfolio This presentation is a sampling of my projects from the course, ET-710: Building and Maintaining Websites, taken at Queensborough Community College. Before taking this course, I had very little experience with web design beyond building basic tables in HTML.

  2. Home Page My home page began as a very simple presentation, with only a headline and a couple of bulleted lists. I’ve since learned how to use divs, formatting, and background images to create a more polished look.

  3. Picasa While I would much prefer to use Adobe Photoshop for image manipulation, it’s always good to learn new tools. I used Picasa to retouch this family photo.

  4. Tribute I experienced four years in the city of New Orleans while attending Tulane University. Full of history, joy, and pain, this truly unique city remains near and dear to my heart.

  5. Image Map This image map explores the different lobes of the human brain.

  6. Club Forms & Tables For this project, I decided to design an activity schedule and sign-up form for the Greater New York Orchid Society. One complaint I have about the actual website is that it doesn’t have enough pictures of orchids!

  7. Table Templates I enjoyed experimenting with different combinations of colors, fonts, and banner graphics to create these table templates.

  8. Frames It was a challenge to recall which three of my college courses were my favorites! I describe them in detail, in this project utilizing frames.

  9. Marquee I once wrote an essay about how much I hate snow. I can’t find the essay anywhere, but I intend to rewrite it someday, to include with the image below.

  10. Thank you for taking a moment to look at my semester’s work. Please check back soon to see what else I’m working on!Best!Melissa Ericksen
