Understanding UK Deciduous Woodland Ecosystems: A Comparative Analysis

This resource explores the deciduous woodland ecosystems in the UK, utilizing geofactsheets and the 'Global Challenge' text to create a comprehensive timeline of the UK's forestry progress. It includes a detailed table with questions to deconstruct core concepts and their answers, ideal for bellwork activities in the next lesson. Additionally, mind maps and sketch maps of the New Forest and Kielder Forest enable students to compare and contrast the ancient deciduous ecosystem with the plantation coniferous ecosystem found at Kielder.
