  2. The outer planets are: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

  3.  Jupiter • Fifth and largest planet in solar system • Made of gas (mixture of hydrogen & helium)-no solid surfaces • Pressure is so great any solid matter would get crushed • Many moons (at least 62) • Great Red Spot- a rotating storm

  4. Saturn- • Sixth planet, second largest planet • Rings are made of pieces of rock and ice • Has high pressure • Strong winds • Many moons (at least 60)

  5. Uranus • Seventh planet • Atmosphere is mostly hydrogen and helium • Blue-green color is an outer layer of frozen methane gas • Has at least 27 moons • It appears to roll rather than spin because it is tilted on its side

  6. Neptune • Eighth and last planet in star system • Uranus & Neptune are sometimes called twins • Blue color • Fastest winds • Has at least 13 moons
