  5. What you need • OmniPro II and OmniTouch • HAI P/N 36A05-4 Serial Connectivity Kit (cable and connector for audio systems) • NuVo Concerto - or - NuVo Essentia • Optional: • NuVo sources, such as tuners and other source equipment

  6. Installation • Connect NuVo serial port to unused serial port on OmniPro II. • Set Serial Port Function to NUVO. • Program Audio Source Names and Audio Zone Names into OmniPro II • Audio Button pops up. • Enjoy!

  7. Operation • Tap Audio button • Display shows zone name, volume, source and what’s playing • Select Zone you want to control from list box • Select Source • Operate buttons as you would a Concerto keypad • Audio Source selection menu

  8. OmniPro II Audio Source Names • Set-Up Source Names to correspond with Source Names for the NuVo • Start at Unit 457 in OmniPro II for Source Names • Example: NuVo OmniPro II

  9. OmniPro II Audio Zone Names • Set-Up Zone Names to correspond with audio zones for the NuVo • Start at Unit 473 in OmniPro II • Example: NuVo OmniPro II

Programming • New Commands for Audio Systems in OmniPro II ACP • Benefits: • Set Up a button (macro) for Entertaining, Watch TV, etc., setting volume and source of all zones as needed • Outdoor speakers programmed off at night to prevent unintentionally disturbing neighbors • Bed/Bath speakers off when bedtime so kids don’t wake you up accidentally • Set individual preferences when arriving home

  11. Programming • Audio features require PCAccess for programming • New ACP Commands include: • On, Off, mute for individual zones or all zones • Volume of specified zone, 0-100% • Select Audio Source for specified zone • Key Press – simulate key press for audio system keypad • EXAMPLE:

Updating Existing HAI Systems • Install 20A04-2 OmniPro II firmware update chip 2.9 or later • Get PCAccess version 2.9 or later • Get p/n 32I09-1 OmniTouch Loader Kit to add new screens to OmniTouch (can be done in field) • More Info: OmniPro II Version 2.9 Firmware Release Owner’s and Installer’s documents on web site 32I09-1 includes cable, software and instructions for updating OmniTouch from the front, even after installation
