Condom Use in High-Burden Countries: Trends Among Multiple Partners
This study highlights the rates of condom use during last sexual encounters among individuals with more than one sexual partner in Uganda, Zambia, and Tanzania from 1995 to 2007. The research reveals that 50% of Ugandan females used condoms, while 40% of males did. In Zambia, the figures were 30% for females and 10% for males. Tanzania showed even lower usage at 20% for females and 0% for males during the same period. This data, sourced from the Measure DHS 2008, emphasizes the need for targeted public health interventions to improve condom use rates.
