WoSCoP • Satisfactionrate: 78%-91% of respondentspositive , • (providers of GRU funded project courses : 91%) • +90%: identified a need in AE (transnational studies/ • EU policy docu) - 63% : EU dimension more important than financial sustainability 41%: financial loss – 46%: financially sustainable Non-formal training: 22 % financial loss • 87%: desiretoincrease EU outlook or NW • - 66%: open up existing courses to EU audiences

  5. GRU IST - PROVIDERS – Why ? WoSCoP • MP leadingto IST courses: goodchannelsfor transfer • of innovation => new products & EU approaches • BUT: only 25 % of IST courses from MP reported financial • benefits ( 40 % of providers without GRU MP funding)

  6. GRU IST - PROVIDERS – IMPACT ? WoSCoP • Expansion of internationalnetworks • Increase in staff interest in EU cooperation • Use of new methods & approaches in the organisation • Additional cultural benefits • Extend the range of provided services • Open up to new groups of learners

GRU IST - PARTICIPANTS – Personal level WoSCoP Very positive view of impact • More motivated to continue teaching (89 %) • Improve intercultural awareness (89 %) • Use new knowledge (88 %) / skills (86 %) in my work • - Increased awareness of different education systems in EU • - Got involved in Grundtvig projects (59 %) • - Startedtolearn a new language (54 %)

GRU IST - PARTICIPANTS – Institutional level WoSCoP Overwhelmingly positive assessment of impact • Openness to other cultures (80%) • Stronger European dimension in the organisation (78%) • Increased international networking (74 %) - New teaching / learning materials (71 %) • - More staffto IST abroad more often (58 %)

  9. GRU IST - PARTICIPANTS – Sectoral level WoSCoP on operational level in AE sector: • Especially in countries with less developed ones • eg • museums, prisons, family-school relationships etc

GRU IST - PARTICIPANTS – Eu cooperation Tilkon Consultancy • Professional contacts with people from other countries: • still in contact: BE : 72 % - Still in contact with trainers: BE: 49 % - Plans to set up GRU activities with people I met (BE: 21 %) • Has already resulted in a Grundtvig project (BE: 7 %)

  11. Overall evaluation of Grundtvig IST Highly positive, esp IST structured courses Impact on personal, organisational & sectoral Level: very high. Quality assurance: should be emphasised & encouraged

  12. Overall evaluation of Grundtvig IST * ¾ of respondents expressed high satisfaction about financing, grant amounts and funding conditions. * 58 % very satisfied about present funding model

  13. Future plans WoSCoP • 95 % recommend IST participation • * 85 % intendtoparticipate in the future 85 % of providers intend to continue GRU IST 9 % uncertain 6 % stop
