Lobbying & Information • Lobbying is modeled as a game of strategic information transmission from an informed lobbyist to uninformed policy makers. • Interest groups are generally better informed on issues that affect them than policy makers are. • They can thus play a role in the policy process by transmitting their private information to the relevant policy makers.
