  3. Holy, Holy, Holy. A passage from the Gospel according to Saint Luke (4:38-41), may his blessings be upon us all. Amen. • Jesus left the synagogue and went to the home of Simon. Now Simon's mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her. So He bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and began to wait on them. When the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying His hands on each one, He healed them. Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, ‘‘You are the Son of God!'' But He rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew He was the Christ. • Glory Be To God Forever, Amen

The Feast of Nayrouz • Coptic New Year: We are given a new start through the grace to endure and be patient like the martyrs. • Martyrdom: Not only through physical beatings, but also through separating ourselves from the world. • When we are pressured to talk/act in a certain way, but we resist. • When we keep falling into the same sin, but we get up again.

  8. Heads Up Seven Up • 3-5 people are chosen to go up in the classroom. Everybody else puts their heads down while their thumbs are up. Those 3-5 people go around and chose 3-5 more people by putting their thumbs down. The ones who had their heads down have to guess who put their thumb down. If they guess correctly they get to go up in the classroom, if not they have to read a Coptic word.
