  2. WORKSAFELY ATHEIGHTS Working at heights is a high risk activity and a major cause of death and injury at the Workplace. These incidents largely happen in construction and manufacturing industry where workmen work on ladders or elevated work platforms. In order to prevent such incidents at workplace, there are certain laws and tips which help workmen and employer to reduce such incidents at the workplace. THINGSYOUNEEDTOKNOW ABOUTWORKING SAFELY ATHEIGHTS There are certain things which a workmen should know about working safely at heights. These tips will help workmen to minimize the accidents as well as provide safety to the property and workmen. These tips are: 1. While working at heights don't underestimate the risks. Don't take nay risk related to the work. Consult with the construction manager and get a suitable to way or solution to do that work instead of taking a risk. 2. There are certain rules and regulations related to the safety. While working at heights workmen have to follow those standards in order to ensure safety at the workplace. 3. While working at heights, use proper and right kind of equipment. Don't use faulty or overused equipment because it'll be risky to work with faulty equipment and you can end up with a serious injury. 4. If you do not know about that equipment or high power vehicle/machine then operate it as such vehicles and equipment consist high power. Improper working of such devices can cause a serious injury. 5. In order to work safely at heights, keep your working are neat and clean so that you can see the things clearly and prevent mishappenings at the workplace.

  3. WORKSAFELY ATHEIGHTSLICENCE As the SafeWork NSW Standards if you want to work at heights then you must have a high risk work licence. The high risk work licence is a certificate which indicates that the person know how to operate equipment and machines. High Risk Work Licence is issued by SafeWork NSW in order to minimise the accidents at the Workplace. In order to get a High Risk Work Licence, you have to pass the basic training and assessment from a recognised training institute. WHYYOUNEED A WORKING ATHEIGHTSTRAINING? As discussed, falling from heights can lead to a serious injury or even death. In recent times falling from a height is one of the major cause of deaths at the workplace. So if you work at heights how you will minimise the accidents and falls? So there is a training course which train people on equipment and safety procedures at the workplace. This course will train people on different aspects like design and planning stage and including roof safety mesh, guard railings, barriers, scaffolding or elevating work platforms. So that's why you need a training on working at heights. WORK ATHEIGHTSTRAINING In order to get a training on Work Safely at Heights you have to visit your nearest recognised training institute. Then enroll under the training course. You have to pass the basic training and assessment in order to get the required certificate. After submitting your certificate to the SafeWork NSW and by verifying your identity you'll get the required licence.

  4. CONDITIONSFORTHEWORKSAFELY AT HEIGHTSLICENCE ANDTRAINING 1. Candidate should be at least 18 years of age. 2. Should be able to speak and understand English during the 2 days training and 1 day assessment.  3. Should be able to complete the training and assessment.
