Right-click the .tlg file and then choose the Copy option. Open the QBTest folder that you have created on the desktop and paste the copied .tlg file there. Again, open the Windows File Explorer by pressing Windows + E keys. Navigate to the following path: C:UsersPublicPublic DocumentsIntuitQuickBooksQuickBooksAutoDataRecovery.

  5. Look for the file named .QBW.adrand copy it. Open the QBTest folder and paste the copied .QBW.adrfile there. In the QBTest folder, right-click the .QBW.adr file and choose the Rename option. Remove “.adr” from the filename. Open QuickBooks Desktop and go to the File menu. Choose the Open or Restore Company option. Now, select the company file that is stored in the QBTest folder. Go to the File menu again and then hover over the Utilities option. From Utilities drop-down menu, select the Verify Data tool to verify the data integrity of the recovered file. Note: If the Verify Data tool shows no issues in the result, then the copied company file is good to use.

  6. Open the QBTest folder and copy the company file that is saved in it. Press the Windows + E keys on the keyboard to open the Windows File Explorer. Navigate to the following path: C:UsersPublicPublic DocumentsIntuitQuickBooksCompany Files Now, replace the damaged company file with the recovered company file.
