  2. File Attributes • Read only • Option can apply to file or folder • Applying method • Right click on file or folder • Click on properties • Select read only check box in general tab sheet • Click on ok • Files or folders can read • File or folders can not write or replcaed

File Attributes • Hidden • Option can apply to file or folder • Applying method • Right click on file or folder • Click on properties • Select hidden check box in general tab sheet • Click on ok • Click on tools menu in menu bar • Click on folder options menu item • Click on view tab and activate the tab sheet • Select do not show hidden files and folders option and click on apply button • Click on ok button Select show hidden files and folders option to display the all hidden files and folders under the super folder

File Views • Open the folder which contains of different type of files such as txt, bmp, gif, jpg • Click on view menu in menu bar • Select view as filmstrip, thumbnails, tiles, icons, list or details • Display the image using windows pictures and fax viewer • Select view as list • Double click on image to open the image through windows pictures and fax viewer • You can use views button in standard buttons tool bar to select the file view

  5. Folder Options • Open the window such as my documents • Click on tools menu • Click on folder options menu item’ • General tab sheet can use to change the tasks, browse folders, click item as follows properties • File types tab sheet can use to display the file type in your computer

  9. Installation of MS-Office XP • Insert the MS-Office XP CD to CD-ROM • Click on next button in auto play window • Accept a license agreement • Type serial no and click next • Select custom installation • Click ok button
