Welcome Freshman SUMMER CAMPS ($350) www.milehighsportscamps.com • Team Contact Camp June 10th –June 21st • Weights and SAQ June 3rd – July 25th • Preseason Test/Conditioning Aug 5th-9th School ACTIVITY FEE $90 – Due August 9th ALL PHYSICALS and Athletic Paperwork due by August 9th. Forms ONLINE at GHS website Player Responsible for SHOES, Girdle, Equip Bag. Team practice shirt and shorts. (On-Line Store with Elite Sports Castle Rock) ALL OTHER EQUIPMENT is School Issued!!

FUNDRAISING – ALL PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE: A hoodie/pant combo, and 2-Tee Shirts when enrolled in summer camps and COMPLETE all fundraising activities. ALL OTHER EQUIPMENT IS SCHOOL ISSUED GEAR: Helmet, Shoulder pads, pants, jerseys

May Workouts • Incoming Freshman Weightlifting Intro • May 1 thru May 16th • Monday –Thursday 4:40-5:30pm. • Must bring signed waiver • Spring Varsity/JV Workouts • We have two remaining on May 6th & 13th 6:45 AM • 3:40pm-4:30pm Weightroom Mon.-Thurs. • May 16th will be our Last Weightroom Day. • No organized workouts During Finals Week.

Summer Weights and SAQ • Mondays – Thursdays June 3rd – July 25th • Varsity/JV 7am to 9am • Freshman 9am to 11am • First Hour Lifting • Second Hour SAQ & Football Related Drills • NO WORKOUTS FOURTH OF JULY WEEK!!! BRING: Water / Snack / Chocolate Milk!! Putting nutrients/fluids back into the body in the first 30 minutes after workout is key!! EAT BREAKFAST!!!

  14. Summer 7 on 7 (Varsity) Broncos 7-on-7 Tournament and Big Man Competition: June 12th (3pm-6pm) and 15th if we qualify. GHS / CT 7 on 7 (V and JV) • Tue-Wed-Thu: July 9th, 10th, 11th, 16th, 17th, 18th • 6-8pm at Legacy Stadium • 4 to 6 teams per night weather permitting!!

TESTING and Fall Camp • All Players will be tested on August 5th and August 6th • Bench, Squat, Clean, Pull-ups • Vertical Jump, 20 Shuttle, 40yd Dash • 300yd Shuttle • Height and Weight for program • August 7th, 8th, 9th non-padded practice/workouts/conditioning • AUGUST 12th Official Practice START DAY

  16. FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE • August 12th 1st official CHSAA Practice Day. • We will start at 3:45pm. • ALL PHYSICALS and Athletic Paperwork due to ATHLETICS OFFICE by August 9th. Forms ONLINE at ccsd.k12.co.us. OR NO PRACTICE!! • ALL Players will need a combination lock to be issued equipment. Players in the Summer Team Camp will receive a locker and their equipment will be placed in Locker for first day. All others will receive their gear AFTER practice on Monday. • ALL PREVIOUS FINES MUST BE PAID!!! • $90 Athletic FEE must be paid at this time.

  18. Freshman and JV Schedules LOCAL GAMES (CT, Arapahoe) • Saturday 9am & 11:30am @ Opposite of Varsity Home Team. • Buses NOT PROVIDED!! Parents transport directly to the game site. Travel GAMES (HR, Vista, Mullen, FFC): • BUS PROVIDED • Freshman @ FFC, JV home (4) Freshman “B” Games, Monday@4:30pm

  19. Physicals and Training Staff • You cannot practice August 12th w/o a physical!! Good for 1 calendar year. • Scott Learned is our Head Athletic Trainer INJURY PROTOCOL!! • 1) See GHS Trainer- Protocol starts here!! • 2) Treat by GHS Training Staff or Doctor referral • 3) Return to play authorized by GHS Training Staff • PROACTIVE Sports Med - Southlands (Wes Riggs) • Synergy Sports and Rehab Parker (Jeff Katzoff) • Wayne Gersoff – (Advanced Orthopedic)

GRANDVIEW TEAM PHYSICALS • MONDAY JUNE 10th PROACTIVE SPORTS MED. 4:30pm to 7pm (Southlands) • 4:30pm JUNIORS AND SENIORS • 5:30pm Sophomores and Freshman • $25 payable to GHS - All proceeds go to Grandview Training Room Supplies. • Copies of Physicals will be placed in GHS Athletics and Activities Office for August!

  21. Eligibility and Team Rules PER CHSAA. 2 F’s during any week equals suspension. Grades checked every Tuesday must fix by Friday! 2 F’s at the end of a Semester = SIT first half of season. SUMMER SCHOOL = MISSED TRAINING All players must wear proper issued equipment. • Any player who alters his equipment or plays without proper equipment may be removed from a contest and the team’s coach placed under sanction. This includes KNEE PADS & TINTED VISORS. • Team!! Don’t try to dress to stand out. Wear issued uniform. August – Team Handbook & Core Values • All parents and players must sign. • Contains all team policies and conduct rules. • School Attendance, Eligibility and Conduct rules.

WHAT DOES IT COST? • ($90 athletic fee) This is how the district pays for Salaries, Transportation, limited equipment reconditioning. • Normal Operating Equipment Expenses (FUNDRAISING & BOOSTER CLUB!!) • Helmet and Shoulder Pads (Replace 10% per year) • Uniforms (home & away) (3 to 4 year rotation) • Expendables (mouth pieces, helmet/shoulder pad parts, footballs) • Practice Jerseys and Pants • STRATEGIC COSTS – Computers, Cameras, Software, etc. • Practice Equipment -dummies, sleds, etc. OUR Normal Operating Expenses are almost $50K per year above CCSD contributions.

FUNDRAISING!! • PLAYER FUNDRAISING • eTeamSponsor – E-mail Campaign (min. 15 emails) • New Equipment, Helmets, Shoulder pads, pads... • Technology, Hudl, iPads, cameras, etc.. • Wolf Cards (10 packs for $300) • All team gear and expendable equipment is funded from Wolfcards. • Team apparel for reaching goals (sweats, tees). • ALL PARENTS this year have the following expectations: • BOOSTER CLUB MEMBERSHIP ($150) • KING SOOPERS FUNDRAISING (BANQUET $$) • Golf Tournament July 26th • PANCAKE BREAKFAST $10 AUGUST 17th • Volunteer!!

  24. WOLFCARDS • Each Player is Responsible for 10 Wolfcard Packs. • $30 per Pack = $300. Please make sure all Checks are to GHS. Seal in the attached envelope with your NAME on it. • DUE DATES: • JV/V to Coach Schultz L105 on MAY 13th –May 16th • Freshman to Weightroom on May 16th or Activities office c/o Coach Schultz. Or to the first day of SUMMER OTA’s JUNE 3rd • ALL FUNDS DUE JUNE 6th PLEASE MEET DEADLINE!!

FALL 2020 TRAVEL GAME • GHS will play Helix HS, Sept 6, 2020 in San Diego in JV and Varsity Games. • Estimated Costs Approx. $1500 per player. • FALL (October TBD) MEETING FOR Freshmen/Sophomores/Juniors. • I TRACK and LOG all Fundraising, those who EXCEED goals may carry a positive Balance into next season’s Fundraising Campaign. • ALL FUNDRAISING DETAILS AND COSTS will be not be finalized until the October Meeting!!
