  2. La convivencia con otras personas obliga al individuo a definir y redefinir continuamente su lugar en los círculos de relaciones sociales que le rodean. Dentro de este proceso se establecen distinciones endo- y exogrupales expresadas en el sentimiento de pertenencia (Tajfel, 1974; Tajfel y Turner, 1979; Turner et al., 1987). • formar parte de un grupo también tiene importantes consecuencias para nuestro bienestar psíquico (Baumeister & Leary, 1995; Ellemers et al, 2002) • cuanto más inciertos sean los sentimientos de pertenencia de un individuo, mayor es su tendencia hacia el aislamiento y la marginación (Baumeister & Leary, 1995) • Los migrantes suelen encontrarse en la periferia de la “comunidad imaginada” de su país de origen.
