  17. Introducing theCambridge-South DorchesterPeace Team

  18. What is the Peace Team? • Members of the Peace Team are trained mediators. They use the process of mediation to help people resolve conflicts. • Visit the Peace Team if you are having conflict with someone in school, they may be able to help! • Mediation is a voluntaryprocess. Everything said in mediation is confidential(unless its about hurting yourself, someone else, or we believe someone is in danger). Peace Team mediators are non-judgmental; meaning they do not pick sides, make suggestions or offer advice.

  19. How can you meet with the Peace Team? • Anyone can request a mediation. Teachers & administrators can refer students to mediation if they think they may be experiencing a conflict. If you’d like to talk with the Peace Team directly, stop by Mrs. Stanley’s office and leave us a note in our drop-box. • If you are referred to mediation, don’t worry – You are not in trouble! And you won’t be asked to do anything you don’t want to do. • The Peace Team will be in your building on Mondays & Wednesdays from 9am til 11:30am starting on November 14th.

  20. Your mission for this year: “I will finish my program of study and become college and career ready! I am the Viking Way! I will always be Responsible, Respectful, and Ready!” Have a great day!
