  1. Dear Journal, As you know, I have this ongoing struggle with doubts. You could call it my bout with doubt! Here I am this C H R I S T I A N All my Christian friends seem so sure, so confident . . . yikes . . . I could never tell them how I am feeling! And the doubts are about big things like prayer, and the Bible and miracles and so on. Sometimes I am okay and I feel such confidence and peace inside. 3. John 20:19-20 & 24-28 (p. 1,000) HOW DO I DEAL WITH MY DOUBTS? 1. ADMIT MY DOUBTS Luke 24:36-41(The Message) While they were saying all this, Jesus appeared to them and said, "Peace be with you." They thought they were seeing a ghost and were scared half to death. He continued with them, "Don't be upset, and don't let all these doubting questions take over. Look at my hands; look at my feet—it's really me. Touch me. Look me over from head to toe. A ghost doesn't have muscle and bone like this." As he said this, he showed them his hands and feet. They still couldn't believe what they were seeing. It was too much; it seemed too good to be true. He asked, “do you have any food here?” They gave him a piece of left over fish they had cooked. He took it and ate it right before their eyes.

  6. “If doubt and faith can co-exist, then this means people don’t have to fully resolve each and every obstacle between them and God in order to have an authentic faith. In other words, when the preponderance of all the evidence tilts decisively in God’s favour, and a person then makes a rational choice to put their trust in him, they can hold some of their more peripheral objections in tension until the day comes when they’re resolved. In the meantime, they can still make the choice to believe – and ask God to help them with their unbelief.” Lee Strobel
