Note that awareness decreases slightly with age. Note also that the number of Americans answering “I Don’t Know” rises sharply among those 71 and over.

In this group, 1 in 4 either disagree that physical activity is protective (20%) or say they do not know (6%) about the link.

The percentage of Americans age 70+ who say it’s too late for them is nearly double that of Americans in their fifties.

Again, the number of Americans aged 71 and over who respond “I Don’t Know” is of concern.
