Research • A general education college course was studied throughout the semester, because they have the most diverse students. • Fourteen different media were used throughout the semester , to study choice of media. • Subjects were given the Gregorc Style Delineator test to assess their learning styles.

  8. Results of student’s media evaluations separated by learningstyles. Frequency Analysis Students scores compared to student’s assessments of method of instruction . Correlation/Aggression Analysis Which media worked best for students, and why it aided in their learning. Focus Groups

Conclusion • Different types of media do have varied rates of effectiveness depending on an individual’s learning style. • However, Media does have a positive impact on learning, particularly in the form of visual aides. • Therefore it is very important use more than one type of media when teaching.

  12. What are the differences between students of different cultures/ races? How valid are the Learning Style Tests? Would like to see the study done in more than one school, by variety of instructors.
