Jaromir Jagr • Born 15.2.1972 in Kladno • He is a Czech ice hockey right winger who plays for Avangard Omsk in the Kontinental Hockey League. • Jágr formerly played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, and New York Rangers, serving as captain of the Penguins and the Rangers.

  2. Career • Jágr began skating at the age of three, and he immediately showed exceptional abilities. • At his 18 he was drafted by Pittsburgh Penguins, where he won 2 Stanley Cups. After 10 seasons he moved to Washington Capitals and then to New York Rangers. • In 2008 he moved to Russia to play for Avangard Omsk. • He also played many international games. In 1998 he won gold medal in ice hockey in winter olympics. • He also won 2 world championships with czech team. • He wears jersey with number 68, as a memory to his grandfather who died during Soviet occupation in 1968.
