  1. Travelport e-Pricing™ Introducing Release 5

  2. e-Pricing – facts and figures e-Pricing satisfies air search requests by automating the interrogation of inventory and fares Supports over 80m airfare searches from agencies every day Billions of flight itineraries are built, validated and priced to satisfy demand for airfare data Worldwide, flights for over 450 airlines are considered by Travelport e-Pricing Our 2014 peak message rate exceeded 1000 messages per second during the busiest hour!

  3. Two versions of e-Pricing available today Release 3 Release 3 uses a schedule led process to identify flights to be priced for a search request. Since there is no knowledge of fares in the flight selection portion of this process, the system considers flights based purely on availability levels and convenience. • Schedule-led search • Focus on convenience • Less effective at finding the lowest available fares

  4. Two versions of e-Pricing available today Release 4 Release 4 uses a fares led process to select flights. The application starts with fares knowledge paired with schedules and availability data to find the lowest priced flights. Where a wide range of low fare options exist, a smaller range of higher priced convenient itineraries may be offered. • Fare-led search • Focus on finding the lowest fares • Used by most customers as our default low fare search product

  5. A “unified” search strategy Release 5 Release 5 will access both the schedule and fares led processes in parallel. This will supplement solutions generated through fare evaluation with convenience based solutions to produce a more balanced mix of itineraries. Currently deployed with a range of key search customers, including ebookers in Europe and Priceline in North America. Full deployment to all customers (excluding Traversa users) is scheduled to extend through May 2014.

  6. Why e-Pricing Release 5? Our deepest and best performing search product to date Improved coverage of direct/non stop flight results, better conversion rates A more diverse mix of low fare solutions and convenient options

  7. e-Pricing Release 5 Example • FSLON15JANMAD30JANLON London to Madrid, round-trip • All 3 e-Pricing releases found the same low fare of £221.10 • R4 and R5 are at parity for the first 7 price options • R5 introduces new intermediate priced flight options from #8 onwards • Fare range on R5 extends from £221.10 to £347.60, far smaller than R3 or R4 • Processing is identical for Worldspan
