Obviously, the LHC-physics or astroparticlephysicspart of the mission budget should not suffer …… It would allow Nikhef to continue with its grid and detector R&D projects, which have shown to be excellent breeding ground for valorisation activities and to be successful in acquiring additional funding, thus contributing heavily to Nikhef’s earning power. The committee recommends that this is compensated by an increase in the mission budget of 1.1 M€/year to enable Nikhef to maintain its vitality and to achieve its goals.
