4. WHAT IS A RULE 12 SAFE MAINTENANCE RULES A rule is an appropriate principle regulating the practice or procedure of a specific activity. Following rules is compulsory.

5. WHY THESE RULES 12 SAFE MAINTENANCE RULES • Dietsmann wanted to have its own rules directly related to itscore business. • We already applied the client’s rules on site, but we wanted to be more focused on our activities. • Our goal was to identify essential issues related tokey risks we face.

HOW TO INTEGRATE DIETSMANN RULES INTO CLIENT RULES SYSTEMS 12 SAFE MAINTENANCE RULES • On the client’s site, keep in mind that we must apply & respect client rules and procedures. • Our rules do not contradict client rules they complement them, but are more specific. • Beware: Apply both the client and Dietsmann rules. One set of rules does not replace the other.

9. HOW THESE RULES WILL BE DEPLOYED 12 SAFE MAINTENANCE RULES • A ‘Rule poster’ will be sent for each rule and will be displayed on site. • A ‘Rule card’ will be distributed during presentations. • In May 2014 all employees will receive a cardboard folder in which to keep ‘Rule cards’.
