  3. Led lights advantages over other lighting technologies • Long life time stands out as the number one benefit of LED lights. • LED lights are free of toxic chemicals, making them ecological and environment friendly. • LEDs are extremely durable and built with sturdy components that are highly rugged and can withstand even the roughest conditions. • LED illumination produces little infrared light and close to no UV emissions.

  4. Led lights advantages over other lighting technologies • LED lights brighten up immediately and when powered on, which has great advantages for infrastructure projects such as e.g. traffic and signal lights. • A low-voltage power supply is sufficient for LED illumination. • LEDs can be combined in any shape to produce highly efficient illumination. • It is energy efficient, which means it consumes only 20% of electricity when compared to light bulb which consumes 80% of electricity only for heating up.

  5. Led lights consumption in USA • Nearly 40% of USA residents use LED lights. • It is estimated that LED is 80% more energy efficient than traditional light bulbs. • They are 25 times long-lasting than incandescent bulbs. • The LED lighting market is anticipated to grow 45% per year through 2019.

  6. Led lighting consumption for street lights in USA • It is estimated that there are 26.5 million of street lights in more than 400 styles across the USA. • 6 million of those street lights need modification and renovation. • 140,000 of the city of Los Angeles existing street lights have been replaced with LED fixtures in 2009.
