Enhancing State Partnerships for Comprehensive Health Workforce Planning

This initiative provides funding for eligible state partnerships to conduct comprehensive planning and development activities contributing to coherent health workforce strategies at state and local levels. Through intersectoral planning, leveraging of regional innovations, and gap analysis, the program aims to support the implementation of priority targets and new delivery models for statewide impact. Additionally, activities include data inventory, regional mapping, and policy development to address workforce needs effectively.

  2. Title V • Provides funding for “eligible state partnerships” to • Complete comprehensive planning • Carry out activities that contribute to coherent and comprehensive health workforce development activities at the state and local levels.

CHWA and Planning Phase • Planning elements consistent with current priorities include: • Convene and facilitate intersectoral planning activities at state and regional level • Document and leverage local/regional innovations for statewide implementation • Data/information collection / gap analysis

  4. Specific CHWA Activities • Partner with OSHPD on SB 139 implementation • Data inventory • Regional mapping • Gap analysis • Document current regional MOUs and develop model for replication • ID priority targets for new delivery and practice models • ID areas for State policy development
