Birmingham was originally founded in 1871 during the Civil War Reconstruction Area and it is an important hub for the Appalachian region, Deep South, and Piedmont regions.   2. The Black Country Living Museum: The Black Country Living Museum is a public museum located at least 10 miles away from the west of Birmingham. The museum stretches for 105,000 sq. m and is a historic building. It was opened to the public in 1978 and over the years it has expanded considerably to include around 50 shops, buildings, and houses. From motor cars, buses, animal traps, enamels, laundry irons, fire clay products, glassware to amazing glassworks, the museum has it all.

  3. The National Sea Life Centre: The National Sea Life Centre is a water world an aquarium that has the capacity to hold 100000 liters of water. It exhibits around 60 different freshwater animals and marine life. Located at Brindley place, this center displays sea animals like green sea turtles, reef sharks, reef fish and many more. The building was designed by Norman Foster and is a popular tourist attraction in Birmingham.
