  1. How Impact assessments are conducted by independent agencies

  2. How Impact assessments are conducted by independent agencies Impact assessment is important to understanding the economic, social, or environmental effects of an intervention. It can help when trying to understand if a certain change was solely because of the intervention or if there were other factors involved.

  3. Impact assessment is mandatory if you are spending 10 crore on CSR initiatives per year, and have a project that totals 1 crore in spend. Companies can set aside 5% of the amounts for anything less than 50 lakh, but for more than 50 lakh, companies must set aside 50 lakh as well. The amendments on impact assessment require companies to strategize CSR efforts, execute them, and then assess their effects better.

  4. CSR departments and foundations around the world have been evaluating the impact on the community due to various initiatives. There is a law in India that made it mandatory to perform Impact Assessment for CSR projects by 2021.

  5. Soulace has a standardized assessment process that they follow. Once they are hired to assess a CSR project's impact, they review the documentation, talk to NGOs, and use various tools to measure the effectiveness of social responsibility projects.
