  2. Research proves that music can improve math, science and language skills and increase spatial I.Q. Research proves that music can help students be more successful on standardized tests. Music teaches students to think creatively and problem solve. Music enhances teamwork skills and self discipline. Why study music?

  3. Did you know? • Music is designated a core academic subject in the “No Child Left Behind Act of 2002”, Title IX, Part a, Sec.9101 (11).

  4. Why study music? • Music develops connections in the brain. Music activities require the coordinated effort of several parts of the brain at once. • Music teaches students the value of sustained effort through rehearsals and practicing to achieve excellence and the concrete rewards of hard work through performance.
