  4. Tropical Wet Hot and wet all year long Vegetation: rainforests

  5. Just above the equator…

  6. Tropical Wet and Dry Dry half of the year Wet half of the year Vegetation: short, grasses and trees

  7. Around the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn…

  8. Arid Hot and dry all year. Very little rain fall Vegetation: desert scrub, plants don’t need a lot of water

  9. Halfway between the tropics and the cricles

  10. Temperate Cold winters, warm summers Vegetation: trees that lose their leaves and evergreens

  11. At the Arctic and Antarctic Circles…

  12. Polar Cold all year long, very little vegetation

  13. Vertical Climate As land gets higher, the climate gets colder- snow at the top!
