  1. GaneshaSeniorSurvey My PowerPoint for My Survey By Justin Padilla

  2. Intro: My Survey • The idea behind my survey was simple: • I wanted it to be accessible • Relate it to current trends (Prom, Graduation, Grad Night) • Easy and quick to answer This was my first time using SurveyMonkey, so I can use this as a reference if I decide to do it again.

  3. The Survey Format • I did a basic format for my survey: ----------5 Questions ----------Multiple-Choice Response ----------So easy a caveman can do it! I excluded written responses because I did not want to shuffle through 60 unintelligible responses.

  4. Question #1 • “Are you a High School Senior”? • Data: out of 61; 68.85% said “Yes”, 31.15% said “No” • Why:Technology Proficiency is a graduation requirement so that would explain the majority of seniors in this course. If they are not seniors, then the counselors want a good majority of underclassman to get the requirement over with.

  5. Question#2 • “Where do you plan on going after High School”? • Stats: out of 60; 33 are going to a 4-year, 15 to a 2-year, 3 to a trade school, and 3 are staying home • Why: Most High School students plan on pursuing higher education when they graduate, and most students prefer a 4-year college since it is the pinnacle of being successful in the world. But a recommended second choice is a community college (cheaper, easier, gets classes out of the way, makes transition simpler). Trade schools are good for the job-oriented and some kids just stay home-even if they have to go get more schooling eventually.

  6. Question Three PROM!!!” • “Will you be going to • Raw Data: Out of 62; 27 said “Yes”, 13 said “No”, 16 said “Maybe”, and 6 said “Who Cares” • Why:Prom is very much considered a rite of passage so many student would choose going to prom. And a good number are still deciding. Yet not going is also a valid choice and people who don’t care have other plans in mind.

  7. Question-<4>- • “Are you a boy or a girl?” • Data: out of 62; 21 are boys, 38 are girls, and 3 are caught in the middle. • Why:Why:Amazingly, there are more girls than boys in the world. Science dictates that even though a Y chromosome is more likely to enter the egg, a miscarriage is usually at the cost of a boy. Nature intended the female to be our tools for survival I suppose.

  8. Question #5 • From the list below, pick one location you would want to go to. • Data: -Hawaii: 34% or 21, the most chosen answer • -Italy: 24% or 15, 2nd most selected • -China: 8% or 5, the least selected • -London: 18% or 11 • -New York: 16% or 10 Why:Most people like to relax on a vacation and Hawaii is synonymous with vacation. But for more recreation, Italy has beautiful sights, great food, and sublime culture. London was 3rd probably due to it being in Europe and the whole British fad. New York has many cool sights and China doesn’t quite have the charm of the other cities.

  9. Conclusion • So that is it. I’m satisfied with the results and the survey had served its purpose. I now have a greater understanding of where my peers stand and where they are going.
