  1. The Chicago Bean - Bedroom Wall Art Poster Decor | Large Wall Posters for Living Room I bought my first professional camera in Chicago for my 20th birthday. It was here that I really began getting serious about professional photography. I worked 80+ hours/week, 7/7 at the time and I got to take a rare day off for my birthday that year. I remember curling up in bed almost all day on a cold November Chicago day, and reading and reading and reading about photography. I finished the first book "Photography for Dummies" (great first book to start with btw!) and began the second, and never really looked back. The people of Chicago were fiercely proud of their city and the Chicago skyline became one of my first targets to shoot once I knew what I was doing. I came back 3 years later and shot the skyline. Chicago is one of my favorite cities in the world. I have so many great memories from the months I lived in and around the city. Chicago Skyline I shot this from the shore of the causeway jutting out into Lake Michigan, so I could get an unobstructed view of the Chicago skyline. I shot this late one night, 4 images stitched together to make one ultra wide panorama of the Chicago skyline. This is so high resolution it prints all the way up to 3x9 feet!

  2. Wrigley Field Chicago Cubs Wrigley Field photographed by long exposure at midnight! Many, many moons ago, a few months before my 20th birthday, before I was a photographer, I lived and worked in Chicago. I worked in Interior Design and helped 1,000s of families put their homes together. I loved what I did, but I wanted something more, where I got to be even more creative. One day a man came in and was asking about "Chicago Decor". He wanted to deck his place out in Chicago skylines and landmarks. I didn’t have this available but I had stylistically similar decor to what he was describing. Everything I showed him as possibilities for his wall wasn't good enough. He wanted CHE-CASH-GO on his wall, and dammit he was going to get it! We had a great time chatting, while he told me about his awesome city, but I ultimately didn't have the goods he wanted. This frustrated me, I hated not being able to serve and help the person in front of me. He did give me a list of hot spots to get though. At the very top of that list... Wrigley Field, the baseball stadium. I made a firm decision on that cold rainy November 2012, to one day go photograph Wrigley Field, so I could serve people like him next time I was asked. Life then got really exciting, and I travelled round the world 6 times and photographed 29 other cities and countries, but never Chicago's Wrigley Field, like I originally intended.

  3. Chicago River Moonlight The Chicago River at night! I shot this last week on a trip to Chicago! I'd been out all night photographing, this was the last shot of the night (probably somewhere around 3am) and as I crossed the bridge of the Chicago River, driving south I saw this view in the moonlight! I knew I had to stop, so I put my hazard lights on, pulled onto the shoulder on the bridge, stepped out into the sub zero windy temperatures, set all the gear up, got the shot quickly and ran back into the car before I got in trouble for stopping in the middle of a highway!
