TITLE IX. TARRANT CITY SCHOOLS. No person shall be denied employment, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in any program or activity on the basis of disability, gender, race, religion, national origin, color, age or genetics.

  2. TARRANT CITY SCHOOLS • No person shall be denied employment, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in any program or activity on the basis of disability, gender, race, religion, national origin, color, age or genetics. • Title IX of the Education Amendment Act of 1972

  3. The Tarrant Board of Education, does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, disability, sex, religion, national origin or age in programs, activities, or employment. • If you feel you have been discriminated against it is important that you take the appropriate steps to immediately inform your principal/supervisor, Director of Title IX and/or the Superintendent if you feel that you experienced or observed a problem which might need administrative attention.

  4. Procedures • There is an appropriate way to voice your charge. Tarrant’s Policy and Procedure Handbook can direct you to the most expedient way to voice your concerns. See COMPLAINTS AND GRIEVANCES, Personnel GEM or Personnel GEM-R. You should be able to find a copy of our policies in the school library.

  6. Questions, comments, or complaints regarding compliance with requirements under Section 504 and ADA concerning students with disabilities should also be directed to the Director of Student Services.
