Step One: Locating the Course Schedule • Open Internet Browser • my.regent.edu • Type in MyRegent ID and password • Enter portal
Review Course Offerings Schedules are color coded • First half of schedule (Blue) lists the first 8-weeks of each session and 16-week semester classes. • Session ‘A’ in the fall and ‘C’ in the spring • Second half of schedule (Yellow) lists the second 8-weeks of the session • Session ‘B’ in the fall and session ‘D’ in spring. • The summer session is a one 8-week session with no colored background.
Online vs. On Campus • Check class location before registering • On campus classes “Virginia Beach” • Online classes “Online” • Review course meeting time if class is on campus

Step Two: Class Selection for Incoming Students • Register for “KEYS” Online Orientation listed on the schedule as GENE OL-OR • Take GENE 101 “Contemporary Problems for Christian Leaders” first semester • Enroll in 100 and 200 level classes
KEYS Online Orientation • Provides resources for academic success • Two-week, asynchronous online class • Take before semester begins • Mandatory for all students • Pass or fail course Special note: Course dates for KEYS will be wrong in GENISYS. Pay special attention to the dates on the Course Schedule, because they are the correct ones.
Class Selection for Returning Students • Complete 100 and 200 level classes before enrolling in upper level classes • Take all pre-requisite classes • Complete 100 and 200 level major classes
16 week classes vs 8 week classes 16 week classes: • Operate throughout the entire semester • Offered on campus only • Must be a local student • Located on the first (Blue) section of the course schedule
16 week classes vs. 8 week classes 8 week classes: • Offered online and on campus • Refer to the current course schedule found here for exact dates and times of class meetings
Class Selection • Full-time students enroll in 12 credits per semester • Full-time schedule example: On campus students: Four, 16-week classes Online students: Two, first session classes and Two, second session classes • Half-time enroll in 6 credits per semester (one in each session)
CRN Numbers • Write down desired CRN • Always have a backup CRN

Step Three:Register for Classes in GENYSIS Congratulations you are ready to register!
Registering • Scroll toward the bottom of the page • Enter CRN numbers • Click on submit • Scroll back up • Review results

Registration Completion • Tuition is due on or before the first day of classes • Online students order textbooks at www.regentbookstore.net • Local students pick-up books at Regent University bookstore or have books delivered
Financial Aid • Complete FASFA (Immediately, if you haven’t already!) • Finalize financial aid package before classes • New students: Review Financial Information on the Current Students website • Incoming students click on this link and apply for school-based scholarships
Military Members • Click on this link if you are planning to use Tuition Assistance and complete the Military Scholarship form
Second Session Starts (Sessions B and D) • Separate registration period for these sessions • Review the academic calendar for registration dates • Last day to make changes to registration without an add/drop form is the day before second session classes begin

Step Four:Enrollment Status • Registered classes appear in GENISYS • Changes to registration can be made in Genisys until the day before classes begin • Professors open classes in Blackboard one week prior to the start

Step Five: Class Attendance • Participation atRegent University is defined by logging into your Blackboard course • Class participation during week 1 is critical; failure to do so may lead to academic dismissal • Attend all on campus meetings
