SLHC Upgrade Workshop at FNAL J. Wetzel University of Iowa November 21st, 2008 With: University of Iowa – J. Nachtman, J. Wetzel, K. Yi University of Wisconsin – M. Bachtis, S. Dasu, K. Flood
Samples • PU – 20 interactions / crossing • Samples ~10k events
ECAL Tower Threshold = "2” HCAL Tower Threshold = "6” Electron Id Cut (E/E+H) = "90" ZEE Efficiency – Pileup Vs. No Pileup No Change with PU – 20 interactions/crossing
ECAL Tower Threshold = "4" HCAL Tower Threshold = "8" Electron Id Cut (E/E+H) = "90" ZEE Efficiency – Pileup Vs. No Pileup No Change with PU – 20 interactions/crossing
ZEE Efficiency – Pileup Vs. No Pileup ECAL Tower Threshold = “6" HCAL Tower Threshold = “10" Electron Id Cut (E/E+H) = "90" No Change with PU – 20 interactions/crossing
ZEE Efficiency – Pileup Vs. No Pileup ECAL Tower Threshold = “8" HCAL Tower Threshold = “12" Electron Id Cut (E/E+H) = "90" Slight change with PU – 20 interactions/crossing
Notes • For Electron, no major difference among the variations although… • there was a slight decrease in low ET for largest variation among pileup/no pileup samples.
ZTT – Pileup Vs No Pileup ECAL Tower Threshold = "2” HCAL Tower Threshold = "6”
ZTT – Pileup Vs No Pileup ECAL Tower Threshold = “4” HCAL Tower Threshold = “8”
ZTT – Pileup Vs No Pileup ECAL Tower Threshold = “6” HCAL Tower Threshold = “10”
ZTT – Pileup Vs No Pileup ECAL Tower Threshold = “8” HCAL Tower Threshold = “12”
Notes: • For Tau, there is a noticeable decrease in low ET between each variation. Thank you!
