Application Process“Frequently Asked Questions” Things to investigate during college search • Transfer Credit-most institutions accept college credit and AP or IB scores; grade transfer policy and score required for AP/IB may vary • Transcripts-an official high school “six semester” and final high school transcript showing “diploma issued” typically required. • ACT/SAT scores: Schools may require scores sent from testing agency (S&T requires this) and investigate each school’s policy on composite and sub-score requirements • $50 application fee*: If fee is a hardship, investigate school policy *application waived for summer camp attendees at S&T who apply by end of summer

  17. Scholarship Process Admitted freshmen automatically considered for merit scholarships, based on academic factors. No separate scholarship application or personal statement required. • Excellence Scholarship • Trustees’ Scholarship • Miner Scholarship • Scholarship based on ACT or SAT composite and high school GPA • Scholarship recipients notified by letter two weeks after admission • Priority application deadline: December 1 • Final scholarship deadline: February 1 • Scholarships awarded on a funds-available basis after February 1
